Biography: the emergence of a family business

Already more than 110 years the name VAN HAUTE is a household word in the world of agriculture. People at Van Haute still work hard and look forward for potential improvements regarding visibility, service to the clients and optimization of the industrial buildings and staff. Today the company has 17 employees who want to help customers and potential customers further in a flexible and easy way. Service was and is still a high priority at Van Haute, not only a way of thinking, but also a way of living.

With great sorrow and profound sadness that we say goodbye to Mr Etienne Van Haute, manager and founder of the Van Haute Farm Machinery BVBA company. With great dedication he has always given the best of themselves but deceased after a struggle of three and a half years from the effects of his illness on October 18 2016. His engaging personality, his passion for man and machine but not least are unstoppable passion and business acumen will be missed greatly.
 2015 At the end of 2015, the works for the construction of the new warehouse and showroom located in the industrial area Zwaarveld will be started, right next to the N41 road (Dendermonde-Sint-Niklaas).
 2009 Van Haute BVBA obtains the importership for McHale in Belgium. McHale is a renowned Irish producer of presses, wrappers and press wrap combinations.
 2004 The year 2004 festively deploys with the opening of the new buildings in the industrial area Zwaarveld as well as the celebration of 70 years sale of CLAAS machines. On 24 and 25 January 2004, the doors openend once again to the public.
 2003 Start of construction for the expansion of the buildings in the industrial park.
 1987 Bart - son of Etienne comes strengthening the team - this is already the fourth generation comming into the family business.
 1982 On January the 17th 1982 – less than 2 years after the purchase of the land in the industrial area Zwaarveld, the new building will be officially opening the doors and will also be opened to the public.
 1980 The land is purchased in the industrial park industrial area Zwaarveld in Hamme.
 1979 Etienne takes over the business from his father. Soon it turns out the space and location in Moerzeke-village seems to the small. Etienne starts looking forward to obtain a more spacious location.
 1964 Suddenly with Etienne, Alberts son, comming in the business the province borders shifted a bit.
 1959 Some combine harvesters CLAAS branded are sold to farmers who begin with contract work.
 1956 In this year the first self-propelled combine harvester CLAAS SF has been sold.
 1946 Albert of son of Richard Van Haute takes over the business in agricultural machinery from his father. Albert Van Haute sells the first traktors of the brands VOLVO and DAVID BROWN.
 1930 Van Haute starts the sale and rental of ploughs, potato machines, hand sprayers, etc. ..
 1908 Grandfather Richard Van Haute starts with the rental of small agricultural material and the sale of spray substances.
